The Met Ball 2013: SEVEN Reasons to Love

Anna Wintour's annual Met Ball is one of the largest fashion events of the year, and for 2013 Anna settled on the theme "punk." I don't typically like to feature celebrities on ARCHIVE: SEVEN, I prefer to keep the content more along the lines of brands, models, and designers but this year's Met Ball featured a handful of fashion knock-outs.  Check out my selection for the top SEVEN looks.
1.  Rooney Mara, Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci
2.  Anne Hathaway, Valentino
3.  Nicole Richie, Topshop
4.  Carine Roitfeld, Givenchy
5.  Lily Cole, Vivienne Westwood
6.  Sarah Jessica Parker, Giles Deacon & Philip Treacy
7.  Tabitha Simmons, Dolce & Gabanna

Holy Stone: SEVEN Reasons to Love

Holy Stone is a recently launched leather apparel company based out of Australia. Their motto is "tell your mama that I look good in leather," which is an obvious reason to love the company in itself.  I am very excited about what I have seen from them so far and can't wait to see what they produce in the future.  Holy Stone is the next featured brand on "SEVEN Reasons to Love."
1. Leather Track pants named "Ho Hey"
2.  Campaign Image
3.  Biker Boot
4.  Campaign Image
5.  "Goodnight Bad Morning" Mesh Leather Dress
6.  Campaign Image
7.  Breezeblock Leather Hat (comes in black and white)

Dark Gypsy

Free People has given their typically soft bohemian vibe a dark twist in their March 2013 lookbook.  Elsa Hosk wears the new collection  which is a delightfully amusing change.

Avant Garde Paris Giveaway!

I am so excited to announce the first giveaway on Archive: Seven.  I have so many new ideas for my blog and this giveaway marks a commitment to bringing you more content and industry commentary that I am passionate about.  You have until March 25th to enter for a chance to win the Damier Ring by Avant Garde Paris. This is a silver plated latticework style statement ring which retails for under $100 on Shop Bop. I love this piece for it's delicate intricacy.  I would style it with dark wash skinny jeans, a silk tank and biker jacket to add softness to a stronger look.

All you need to do is  enter using the widget below.
It's so easy, and who doesn't love free accessories? You never know, you might get lucky.

Alexander McQueen Fall 2013 Perfection

Typically for fashion week I post a list of my top seven looks of all of the international presentations.  But after seeing the live tweets of the Alexander McQueen Fall 2013 collection I could not wait.  I also do not think I would be able to select just one look to be compared to other designers.  Sara Burton showed just 10 pieces and they are so perfect that each look needs to be shared.  Peep them below and watch the full fashion show video too.  This collection looks like it could have come from the mind of Lee McQueen himself and Burton has again proven that she is the only one who can pay homage to him appropriately.
